JamaicaUnited.org is a hurricane relief fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting families and communities affected by natural disasters in Jamaica. The platform is managed and operated by Profectify LLC.

2.1 Our Mission

Our mission is to provide direct, transparent, and efficient disaster relief to affected communities in Jamaica, ensuring that 100% of public donations go toward relief efforts.

2.2 Organizational Structure

Jamaica United is managed by Profectify LLC, a limited liability company. All donations are received, managed, and distributed by Profectify LLC with complete transparency and accountability.

3. Donations

3.1 Donation Commitment

When you make a donation through JamaicaUnited.org, you are making a voluntary contribution to support hurricane relief efforts in Jamaica. We are committed to the following principles:

• 100% Direct Impact: 100% of all public donations go directly to relief efforts. No portion of public donations is used for administrative expenses, overhead costs, or management fees.
• Transparency: All donations and expenditures are tracked and publicly reported through our website.
• Accountability: We maintain detailed records of all donations received and relief efforts funded.

3.2 Non-Refundable Donations

Exceptions to this policy may be made only in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate transactions made in error
• Unauthorized or fraudulent use of your payment method
• Technical errors resulting in incorrect donation amounts

We accept donations of any amount. However, please note that payment processing fees charged by third-party payment processors (such as Stripe) may apply to your donation. These fees are deducted by the payment processor before funds reach Jamaica United.

4. Tax-Deductibility Status

4.1 Non-Deductible Donations

Because we are not a registered 501(c)(3) organization, donations made to Jamaica United are NOT tax-deductible as charitable contributions for U.S. federal income tax purposes.

You should not claim any tax deduction for donations made to JamaicaUnited.org unless and until we obtain 501(c)(3) status and explicitly notify you of this change.

4.2 Future 501(c)(3) Status

We are currently in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. If and when this status is obtained, we will update our website and notify donors accordingly. However, there is no guarantee that our application will be approved or when approval might be granted.

4.3 International Donors

Tax treatment of donations may vary by country. International donors should consult with a qualified tax professional in their jurisdiction to understand the tax implications of their donation.

4.4 Donation Receipts

We provide email receipts for all donations for your records. However, these receipts are for documentation purposes only and do not constitute proof of tax-deductibility.

Jamaica United accepts donations through the following payment methods:

• Bank Transfers: Direct wire transfers to our EUR, GBP, or USD accounts
• Revolut: Payments through Revolut's secure checkout platform

5.2 Payment Processing

Online donations are processed through third-party payment processors (Stripe and Revolut). Your payment information is transmitted directly to these processors and is not stored on our servers. We do not have access to your full credit card or bank account information.

5.3 Payment Security

All online transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5.4 Third-Party Processing Fees

Payment processors charge transaction fees that are deducted from your donation before the funds reach Jamaica United. These fees vary by payment method:

• Stripe: Approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
• Bank transfers: May incur wire transfer fees from your bank
• Revolut: Fees vary based on payment method

These processing fees are not part of the 100% donation commitment, as they are collected by third-party processors, not by Jamaica United or Profectify LLC.

6. Use of Website

6.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Website for lawful purposes only, including:
