Hurricane Melissa: Our Response
Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on October 26, 2025, bringing 165 mph winds and catastrophic flooding. The Category 5 storm devastated communities across the island, leaving thousands without power, clean water, or shelter.
Jamaica United launched immediately to provide direct relief to affected families. Our founder, Jannik Hansen, whose wife is Jamaican, mobilized resources within hours of the storm's landfall. Every dollar donated goes directly to emergency supplies, temporary shelter, and water infrastructure repairs.
We're working directly with families on the ground—no middlemen, no administrative overhead. Just direct impact where it's needed most. Our commitment to transparency means you can see exactly where your contribution makes a difference.
